Let us tell you a little about Bella Collina
The history of Bella Collina Events is something I love to present. Bella Collina Events was founded by Joseph Destafino on the concept that the bride of tomorrow is busier than the bride today. At Bella Collina we take wedding planning and bring it to a new level. We feed off of the fact that our couples are too busy to coordinate / plan that perfect wedding day themselves. They all want that perfect day, but how to obtain it is a mystery. They need help, as planning a wedding is a full-time job. At Bella Collina Events, we surround ourselves with the best of the best. Our family of professionals allows such a plan to be implemented, perfectly. The concept of Bella Collina Events was founded in 2012. For years, people constantly said they would love their son/daughter to be married at what would be "Bella Collina". Eventually the question arose, "How can I take this marvelous piece of property, and turn it into an asset instead of a liability?”
This was answered in two parts, and it has evolved since that day.
The first part of the question was answered by providing "ease of access" to our couples. We take the planning to them, in what is called a Day of Interviews. "How did we come up with a Day of Interviews?" When I was in my 20's, I started a company which allowed homes to be built under my name. Flipping homes was lucrative and it was becoming more popular each day. Flipping homes eventually evolved into a business where we would build new homes. When building a home, you use a General Contractor. The General Contractor subcontracts work out to different sub-contractors in each of their designated trades (i.e. foundation, framing, sheetrock, cabinetry, painting, trim work, landscaping). Without a General Contractor who already has established relationships with their sub-contractors, you instead must spend your time to find contractors, a daunting task without connections into the construction industry. You must invest time to meet multiple professionals in each trade to find the best deal and assure yourself of their ability.
The Day of Interviews was created from an ease-of-access standpoint. On the Day of Interviews, imagine yourself as the General Contractor. Your sub-contractors are the different professionals in each category (i.e. caterer, photographer, DJ, florist, videographers and a rental company). They will all come together under one roof to win the bid of the couple in front of you. The couple knows that you have already done the vetting process, allowing them to meet only the best of the best. This has elevated wedding planning to a new paradigm.
The couple shows up at 9:00 AM on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday to start their Day of Interviews. These are typically scheduled six weeks out. Every hour on the hour a professional shows up to interview with them. B.O.S.S. “our exclusive software” will take care of the rest. Now that we have handled the ease of access and the fact that the couple can choose their photographer, DJ, caterer and florist all in one day, we move on to the psychological portion of why we work the way we do.
In my 20's I also developed software which taught micro-expressions and body language. This software was used to train the military, TSA, corporate America along with law enforcement. It offered sales training to many high-end companies. Proper training is important when it comes to forecasting. Forecasting is also important when it comes to such an important day in our couple’s lives.
We create a family of professionals that we can count on, allowing the coordination to become easier with each passing event. The ease of access and the methodical way of allowing each couple to experience the wedding of their dreams is how Bella Collina Events became the number one venue in central North Carolina. Our secret is to never stop being consistent; we do what works. When we start to deviate from our model, we will certainly fail.
